Porcelain functional giftware & tableware inspired by nature & music, with some post-modern humor thrown in for good measure.

I was raised and schooled in east Tennessee. I moved to the area three years ago after some significant life upheaval and found a viable flourishing market for my work here. It allowed me to continue as a full time artist; a journey that began for me in earnest in 2019, 19 years after I received my BFA in Ceramics. Unfortunately, this market is no longer viable for the short term and I saw my work and retail space of Marquee in the River arts District gutted & destroyed by floodwater. I have struggled to grow as a small business, but this year was accepted into the Southern Highland Craft Guild. Our fall show was cancelled, our retail store in Biltmore Village, and the Folk Art Center is closed indefinitely until the Blue Ridge Parkway reopens. My avenues and resources are limited, but I’m very lucky to still have a temporary studio and the ability to make work.
