After spending time in Guatemala, alinahh was deeply inspired by the Tzutujil Mayan women and their backstrap weaving. Ki continued to study this type of weaving as well as natural dyeing with these women. alinahh weaves scarves, shawls, rugs, bags, prayer shawls, belts, womb belts and more with wool, cotton, linen, and silk, that ki naturally dyes from plants and flowers in ker garden and foraged from surrounding woods. alinahh also knits colorwork hats with many different designs – mostly inspired by nature. alinahh is currently a student of fiber arts at Haywood College and lives in an ecovillage outside of Black Mountain, NC.
