I would describe myself as an intuitive realist painter. I find inspiration in the natural world - landscapes and flowers and the mood of color and light are the things that I love to paint. I have been a painter for many years, beginning as a portrait painter and but finding the natural world much more interesting. Oil paint and pastels are the media that I love to work in. I love to find small moments of beauty, sometimes that fleeting moment of perfect light, that can evoke mood and memory - unique to each viewer.
