I’m Skip Rohde, a figurative painter with a studio in Woodfin, on the north side of Asheville. My studio was not damaged in the storm, but many of my friends lost their studios, artworks, and some even lost their homes. For this event on December 14-15, some of us with studios in The Mill at Riverside are bringing in these artists to give them some space to meet with people, show their work, and hopefully sell some of it to good homes. This will let visitors see a variety of artworks and artists all in one place. Our studios are in The Mill at Riverside. It’s a huge old textile mill at the junction of Elk Mountain Road and Riverside Drive. My address is 2004 Riverside Drive, but Google Maps will take you to the wrong side of the building. From I-26, take Exit 24 (Elk Mountain Road/Woodfin), then Elk Mountain Road to the Stop sign at Riverside Drive. Turn left and come to the small parking lot on the right. You’ll see a big “2004” painted on the building. Come out to our studios on December 14-15 and support some great artists!
