Woodworking had been a hobby for many years, but I started to seriously pursue it after retiring as Executive Director and Curator of the Wharton Esherick Museum. I carve bowls, spoons, utensils, and small sculpture from sustainably sourced local woods. Following Esherick's example, I strive for simple organic forms that bring out the natural beauty in the wood.
