I’ve been interested in the visual arts from early on. In undergraduate school, painting, drawing, sculpture studios were part of my studies as well as courses in art history, film and printmaking. I spent a year in Florence Italy working in a painting studio and then returned to the States for a graduate degree in art history at the University of Cincinnati with a focus on devotional painting of the Northern Renaissance. I began my interest in building with recycled materials when I started renovating late 19th century buildings in Cincinnati. Now in WNC I’ve been renovating a homestead for the past 10 years. I continue painting, drawing and sculpting on the sidelines.
