Emelie Weber Wade is a fiber artist specializing in handwoven wearable art and wall hangings, crafted on multi-shaft floor looms. As a proud member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, Emelie is deeply rooted in the traditions of her craft while bringing a fresh, contemporary perspective to her designs. She discovered her passion for weaving in 2012 during an apprenticeship making baby blankets, where she honed her skills and developed a deep appreciation for the meticulous artistry of handweaving. Each of her pieces is one of a kind, thoughtfully designed, handwoven, and sewn by the artist, celebrating the beauty of traditional craft paired with modern design aesthetics. Working from her studio at Pink Dog Creative in Asheville’s River Arts District, Emelie gives weaving demonstrations, inviting visitors to experience the magic of the loom firsthand. Inspired by the textures and colors found in nature, her work highlights sustainably-minded materials and honors the principles of slow and mindful craftsmanship. Through her artistry, Emelie weaves stories of connection, tradition, and ecology.
