I have loved making art since I was a little girl. While I enjoy working in several mediums, painting is what I love the most. Art took a backseat while I was raising my children and working on a college campus. It was not until I retired from Appalachian State University that I felt I had the time and energy to give to painting. I took up oil painting (4) years ago and love it. My subjects vary from figures/portraits, landscapes, coastal scenes, and animals. My style is more realism but I strive to make each work “painterly”.
