Finding inspiration in nature and stories, Form and Function Creative reflects Courtney LaCaria’s love for art as both product and practice, creating fiber art that embodies the elements of joy, connection and gratitude. Courtney is a Fiber Artist and Farmer who lives with her family on an alpaca farm which provides the fleece that she hand-spins into yarn and weaves into fiber goodies. Courtney is grateful and humbled to have been featured in Asheville Made magazine and enjoys teaching weaving workshops at Local Cloth, which is located in Asheville’s River Arts District. In addition to offering bohemian woven tapestries inspired by the seasons, Courtney's work includes gifts and functional accessories for the home, workspace or studio, and garden, including rugged totes and zippered pouches, handmade notebooks, wristlet keychains, mug rugs and plant coasters, bookmarks, nesting moons; and bright and cheerful decorations for the holidays. Courtney also creates beginning tapestry weaving kits and fiber packs for the curious crafter. She also accepts commissions, which can be initiated by reaching out through her website.
