Deanna grew up around sewing and making. Her great-grandmother was a skilled seamstress, one grandmother an avid quilter, another grandmother adept at needlepoint, one grandfather a weaver and carpenter – it was only natural for her to continue in this fashion. In 2014, Deanna graduated from Haywood Community College's Professional Crafts Program with a focus on textiles. She now is responsible for four floor looms and spends as much time as she can making things with yarn. Much of her work focuses on highly functional wearables and home goods although she really loves to make custom yardage for costuming and interiors.
