Originating from Wells, VT; I began a fine woodworking apprenticeship at the young age of 16. Upon completing the required 8,000 hr apprenticeship and 5 year journeymanship; I achieved the distant title of Master Craftsmen. My move to Black Mountain, North Carolina in 2010 is when all aspects of my work started coming together. It was the Arts & Crafts movement in NC that inspired me to blend both traditional arts and crafts style with contemporary components allowing me to design pieces that not only challenged me as an artist, but also met the needs of clients. It is my belief that fine furniture should be crafted to endure use over multiple lifetimes using time honored processes to achieve the highest quality standard.
