I am a mixed-media figurative artist. Much of my inspiration comes from vintage photographs of women from the early twentieth century. The primary goal in my work is to express emotion in cloth. I dye most of my own fabrics, often using natural botanical dyes. The hair for my figures comes from my own angora goats. I am a member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild, and an artists member of NIADA, an international organization of doll artists and patrons. I live in a small farm in the mountains of western North Carolina with my partner, four cats, fifteen goats, thirteen hens, two giant guardian dogs, and one very spoiled mini bernedoodle.
